This purchase is for a set of engine guard crash cage for the Yamaha Super Tenere. The guards feature aircraft grade aluminum skid plates (2 on each side) that can be inexpensively replaced should the bike go down. We don't want you to have to test the guards but in the event that you do, you can just pick up the bike and ride without worries. No need to replace the whole set as the skid plates were designed to minimized damage to the guard itself. The guards are also compatible with our skid plates for the bike. The steel tubing is bolted to the engine mount of the bike and the skid plates are bolted onto it. The steel tubing has six attachment points to prevent them from rotating in the event of a low side. The engine guards are braced together by crossbars in order to further increase its strength and ability to absorb damage. We use highest grade bolts commercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength) wherever possible. Rest assured that you are getting the best material commercially available.

Crash Bars Bent	August 27, 2022

I purchased and installed a set of crash bars for my Yamaha Super Tenere (N77-12EG). They installed very easily.
I was riding off-road and got into a situation where I had to stop and since I was on a steep incline I could not hold the motorcycle up. So I bailed off and let the bike drop. The bike rolled over several times to the left going down the hill. The crash bars bent and were pushed to the right but my motorcycle was not damaged (except for the wind screen). A heavy bike giving multiple impacts to these crash bars did bend them but they protected the fairings and gas tank as they are intended to do.

Just tested these crash bars out yesterday, they saved my fairings for sure, radiator and maybe even shifter. Allowed me to ride the bike 300 + miles home after a 75 mph low side slide due to rain. Skidded 200 ft, with only minor paint damage to the crash bars and ground one aluminum skidplate completely off. Literally saved my bike.

These crash bars in my opinion are by far the best bang for the buck. On top of that being made out of stainless steel ensures their longevity. The coverage of the bike is 2nd to none. On top of that can remove both the left and right side covers without having to remove the crash bars or loosen them.

This engine guard is the best!
Smart and good looking design that covers everything you would want protected. You only need to buy one piece and not multiple pieces to have full coverage. Install video online is helpful. Definitely happy and would buy again. Exceptional customer service. Thank you.
