This purchase is for a set of frame sliders for the above model. The sliders feature a new design of a complete solid puck with aluminum insert to increase strength and contacts surface. The sliders are attached to the frame at two mounting points. They are the strongest possible configuration. The two mounting points not only reduce the impact in half but also keep the sliders from rotating in a low-side. The aluminum insert embedded inside the pucks allows them to take more sliding in a high speed lowside. We use the best raw material to manufacture our frame sliders. The plastic pucks are made of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a tough plastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. Compared to Delrin, it is softer but tougher. Delrin is harder but more brittle. It is an ideal material for frame sliders since it can absorb more impact force onto itself and therefore reduce the impact on the frame and engine. The brackets are made of aircraft grade aluminum 6061-T6 and anodized using Japanese dies and treatment process. The mounting bolts are of highest grade 12.9 (177,000 psi in tensile strength). Plastic pucks can be replaced inexpensively.
