This purchase is for one skid plate for the Triumph Tiger 850 / Tiger 900, designed to minimize damage and protect your bike from dirt, mud, and other debris. The skid plate is CNC cut from a solid 4mm sheet of aircraft grade aluminum. The plate is then tig welded and finished with black powder coating to increase durability. Rest assured that you are getting the best material commercially available.

Why Pick Our Skid Plate?

Durability and Quality

  • 4mm thick aircraft grade aluminum (Solid plate not separate pieces that are riveted/bolted together)
  • CNC cut / bend
  • Tig Welded
  • Finished in durable black powder coating
We understand that riders want protection for both on/off the road. Our skid plates were designed to take the beatings of your everyday riding. Our skid plates are mounted at two locations (front, back). The mounting locations of a skid plate play a critical role in how much it can minimize damage and protect. We did not want to mount anything on the engine cover or stator as that would more likely cause more problems than prevent. Other skid plates that mount on the covers is trusting the integrity of the plate on 6mm bolts that are connected directly to the engine covers. Major impacts or accident will rip and crack that cover or bolt.

5 of 5 Good Product April 13, 2024

Looks great and they have actually done some redesign on the skid plate from the pictures. The skid plate I purchased came with more cut outs in the front and sides for better air flow so that is a plus. The instillation went well and only took about 45 minutes, would have been faster if I didn't have the OEM engine guards already installed but was still not an issue. I did take the advise of one of the other reviews and took the liberty of using never seize on the bolts for the oil filter plate so hopefully it wont be an issue.

Had to modify a few spacers. I have aftermarket white crash bars. But bolted on very easily. I would definitely recommend this bash plate to anyone.

4 of 5 Very good product January 13, 2021

Heavy duty when compared to the flimsy OEM plate. Fitment of plate will require a bit of cursing and kicking, as the plate is a bit uneven, but once fastened it is not going anywhere. I recommend greasing or anti seizing the bolts holding the oil flap closed, as dirt will eventually seize these. Also plate is close to OEM engine bars and will heat the protective rubber of the joint, due to less ventilation reaching the engine.

I also do not like the sandpaper powder coating finish, I would have opted for a semi-matt finish with a bit of PTFE for better scratch and easier cleaning.
