This purchase is for a pair of frame sliders / plastic body protectors (one LHS and one RHS). The sliders feature a new design of a complete solid puck without a hollowed-out center. This increases the strength and contact surface to about 30%. The bracket is bolted to the engine mount and the aluminum spacer is bolted to the bracket. The slider puck is then screwed on to the spacer. Since this spacer is made of solid billet aluminum there is no need for re-tightening the engine bolt in the long run where you have to do so with plastic slider as the plastic would gradually give in and therefore making the bolt loose. The brackets bolt around the frame preventing them from rotating in the event of a low side. The material of the puck is made of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a tough plastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. Compared to Delrin, it is softer but tougher. Delrin is harder but more brittle. It is an ideal material for frame sliders since it can absorb more impact force onto itself and therefore reduce the impact on the frame and engine. The slider pucks can be inexpensively replaced in case of a low-side. We use highest grade commercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength) wherever possible. Rest assured that you are getting the best material commercially available.

4 of 5 Good and well thought out, not sure about fitment October 27, 2024

I was very pleased with the packaging and the parts themselves, they are good quality. T-Rex is known for this so it isn't any huge surprise. They did great choosing the mounting location. My one gripe is that the weld in the frame created some interference with the bracket. It was large enough that I was worried it wouldn't work. A rubber mallet with moderate pressure encouraged the bracket to line up with the bottom M8 bolt holes, and the rest of the install went smoothly. Now that I think of it, the interference fit will probably help the sliders to absorb a greater impact without damaging anything else. I'm a huge fan of the replaceable pucks, and the fact that I won't have to remove panels to get to them. I'll probably buy these for my other bike if they make them.
