It does lower the bike as claimed, and as mentioned the fender will need to be trimmed to be able to use properly. The only reason I won't give 5 stars is due to the issues with the brake line, once linkage is in place and the allen head bolt is installed there is no room for the factory bracket, to make this all work properly a skilled person will need to make the modifications in order to be able to use all of the brackets properly. The design could have possibly used a carriage bolt in place of the bolt provided, of course, this would require a different design to seat the carriage bolt but would likely eliminate the need to modify the brackets.
