This purchase is for a set of engine guards for the above bike model. The engine guards have four attachment points preventing them from rotating in the event of a low side. The guards are also braced together in the middle at both top and bottom points to further increase its strength. It is ideal for engine guards since it can absorb more impact force onto itself and therefore reduce the impact on the bike. The 1" tubing guards also features two replaceable black skid plates (one on each side). Think of them as protection for your protection. We use highest grade commercially available 12.9 (177,000 psi in tensile strength) wherever possible. Rest assured that you are getting the best material commercially available.

Skid Plates

Our guards feature aircraft grade aluminum skid plates that can be inexpensively replaced. We don't want you to crash or tip over, but in the event that this does happen, we want you to be able to just pick up the bike with peace of mind knowing that your investment is protected. No need to worry about replacing your cage. Think of it as protection for your protection.

Options

The cages provide space for the option to mount lights and other accessories that are compatible with mounting on the tubing.

Let me begin by saying that I am a novice rider...I installed these engine guards before riding my bike, and I am glad I did. I dropped my bike while heading down my driveway and attempting to make a sharp curve. The guards did their job; they protected my motorcycle. Not a scratch was left on the bike. The guards look good, too. When I received the product, one set of bolts was missing. Replacements were quickly shipped to me. After watching the video instructions, I had the guards installed in less than an hour.

These guards are a wise purchase!!!

Very easy to install and there are YouTube videos that go step by step.  I’ve researched many guards before I decided on T-Rex racing because of quality control as well as customer service/support.  I installed them in about a half hour by myself and it only had a few bolts to line up.  Very easy if you have no mechanical skill if you follow the YouTube videos.

These guards look great, and where very easy to install! Took me about 30 minutes with just a little help from my wife lining up the right and left side of the bars.
