This purchase is for a set of engine guards designed to fit the Kawasaki Versys-X 300. The guards have four mounting points to increase the strength and prevent the guards from rotating during a low side. It is also braced together in the middle to further increase the strength of the guards. They also feature replaceable pucks that can be inexpensively purchased. No need to order a new kit so ride without worry! The CNC precision cut pucks are made of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a tough plastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. Compared to Delrin, it is softer but tougher. Delrin is harder but more brittle. It is an ideal material for slider where it can absorb more impact onto itself and therefore reduce the direct impact on the frame and engine. We use highest grade commercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength) wherever possible.

5 of 5 top quality March 29, 2021

looked at OEM guards, too weird looking.  looked at SW Motech guards, didn't feel like enough protection.  These T-Rex are awesome for 3 reasons- first they protect entire side of bike and come with replaceable pucks.  Second they are dual purpose as I can install accessory lights in the front.  Third, they look the best of all the options.

5 of 5 Not disappointed even 2 years later June 19, 2020

I bought these in the fall of 2018 straight from T-Rex and I am satisfied with the quality as they haven't rusted. Those pucks are really strong, tough plastic, so they do a good job of protecting the bars. I'm so happy T-Rex makes them for the Versys-X 300. I'd recommend buying their crash bars / engine guard bars.

5 of 5 Top quality and easy to install August 21, 2019
Reviewer: Mike from Ohio
It may not have the "curves" of some other guards, but this thing still looks good, is beefier and will no doubt protect my bike if it tumbles.Very easy to install with the help of their online videos.

5 of 5 Crash cage...awesome April 2, 2019
Reviewer: Rusty from Oklahoma
Bought a crash cage about 4 months ago. The build quality is excellent, fitment is perfect, coating nice, and green lettering on the pucks are very nicely done. Was heavier than I expected, but that's actually a good thing. First tip over before the cage left my plastic fairings with gravel marks in it. Install these, had a few tip overs now, and these work like a charm. (Sticks still get though while offroad.)   I would love to put pictures on this review to show them off, cause the pictures above don't do this cage justice.
