This purchase is for a complete protection kit for the above-mentioned bike model. It includes a set of no-cut frame sliders, case covers, clutch sliders, and front & rear axle sliders. The sliders are made of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a tough plastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. Unlike our traditional round plastic pucks, the new frame slider pucks are completely solid and have up to three times the surface area than the round ones. This translates to a multiple-fold increase in strength. In addition, the shape of the pucks was adapted to the flow and shape of plastic fairings and the bike. This streamlines the puck as an extension of the bike whereas the round puck looks out-of-place from the rest of the bike. The bolts are made of highest grade commercially available 12.9 (177,000 psi in tensile strength). The brackets and spacers are made out of air-craft grade 6061-T6 aluminum and coated in a UV-resistant anodized finish. They are bolted to the frame at multiple locations to spread out the impact force and to prevent any rotation of the brackets that could damage the fairings. Rest assured that you are getting the best material commercially available.

5 of 5 Yamaha R1 Protection October 27, 2020
Reviewer: Larry Lulay from Oregon
I have the full protection kit on my 2013 Yamaha R1 and love it.  Installation was easy with zero issues and the quality is great.  See my review at https://youtu.be/2F_CyiPy1vQ and more photos and details on my R1 page at
